Conditions of Employment
The General Clerk III shall identify award recipients who have not begun fulfilling their Congressionally-mandated Service Requirement.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Track correspondence; contact award recipients via multiple venues, including in-person, over the phone, through mail, email, and other publicly-available methods, as necessary.
Prepare and send hard-copy Service Requirement notification letters to backlogged awardees.
Provide job search training and counseling.
Support alumni relations.
Support external relations.
Support language proficiency assessment.
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Area/Language Studies, Business, International Affairs, Social Sciences and Graphic Design.
Critical thinking/analytical skills.
Experience or familiarity with international education, regional or cultural studies, and foreign language education.
Excellent written, listening and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated experience in the Microsoft suite of applications.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Desire to work in a team-oriented environment.
Ability to set own priorities and work independently without immediate supervision.
Demonstrated ability to take initiative, problem-solve, and adapt to changing situations.
Applicant must obtain/maintain eligibility for a National Agency Check with Inquiries.
